A Solstice Blessing: Listening at the Threshold

At the solstice…
we stand at a threshold.
A place where light and dark meet…
as equals and as invitations.
The dark invites us to listen deeply.
The light calls us into expression.
In times such as these
may we Listen for not only what is ours to do—
but for who we are willing to become.
May we trust the medicine
that is uniquely ours to carry.
And may we offer it in service of a world
that honors all of life.
May this turning of the year
meet you exactly where you are.
And may your Listening
guide your light.
Solstice blessings, dear soul.
All Love,
Gail
On October 31, thirteen of us gathered on the Listening Playground and asked the question

HOW DO WE PLAY TOGETHER TO AWAKEN A WORLD THAT HONORS ALL OF LIFE?
By Listening Together, we received an answer that is teaching us how to live –and play!
There is no hierarchy in the web of life.
There is only relationship.
When we play, we restore flow.
When we listen, we remember how to belong.
We Listen first. Listening is our first language.
We honor all of Life and are participants in a living Earth that is always teaching us how to live. Every being belongs.
We lead with play, curiosity, laughter, and wonder as our guides. We welcome the trickster, who startles us awake and (eventually) makes us laugh.
We breathe through our hearts and life finds its flow through us.
We practice reciprocity. We live in conversation, not transaction. We pause before we plan, Listen before we launch.
We honor those who dreamed us here, and we dream for those yet to come. We call on our ancestors, who love assignments.
We honor difference as teacher—inviting our souls to grow.
We tell the truth with love, and we Listen so truth feels safe to rise.
How we live is how we pray. Our laughter, tears, and creative acts—our presence itself—are all offerings.
This is our playground. This is our promise.
We weave our individual threads into a living tapestry
And live this story in service to all Life.
